Suvendu Adhikari is served with a EC notice for "hate speech."

Kavita Krishnan, a member of the CPI (ML) politburo, filed a complaint with the Election Commission alleging that Adhikari delivered a hate speech at the Nandigram rally. “The declaration by Suvendu Adhikari was investigated by the Commission and found to be in breach of the clauses,” says the statement. The EC has sent Adhikari 24 hours to clarify his position after receiving the note. The portion of the speech that is "objectionable" has been included in the note.
