Patel, who is from Gujarat's Modasa, has held the record for the longest hair since she was 16 years old, when she had a length of 5 feet and 7 inches. She is known as Real-life Rapunzel. After 12 years and three Guinness World Records titles, Nilanshi made the decision to cut off her locks. She has grown her hair since she was 6 and has not got them cut. After 12 years, she decided to bid them an emotional goodbye. Though she had an option of donating her hair to charity or to put them for auction also, she finally decided to donate her hair to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum in Hollywood, California. Measured last, they were 6ft 6.7inches long.
