According to a survey undertaken by the Confederation of Indian Industry, chief executive officers in India are opposed to further lockdowns and are now collaborating with the government to vaccinate their workers.
In recent weeks, India has seen a revival in coronavirus infections, with more than 150,000 cases recorded on a regular basis. Hospitals are on the verge of being overburdened, and prevention and curative vaccinations are rapidly running out. The new surge has forced Maharashtra, the most developed state in the country, to close all non-essential businesses and order the closure of all non-essential businesses.
