After almost 30 years, the woman with the world's longest nails gets them removed. Ayanna Williams (USA), the lady with the world's longest fingernails, has reportedly parted with her grand manicure since shaving her nails this past weekend, according to Guinness World Records.
After weighing the record holder's long nails one more time, Dr. Allison Readinger of Trinity Vista Dermatology in Forth Worth, Texas (USA) used an electric rotary knife to cut them as per the official site of Guinness World Records. Ayanna, a Houston resident, recently broke her own record for the longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female) by measuring 733.55 cm (24 ft 0.7 in). This is the first time Ayanna has trimmed her nails since the early 1990s, but it was an emotional, bittersweet farewell when she eventually had to let them go."I’ve been growing my nails for a few decades now. I’m so, so ready for a new life. I’m know I’m going to miss them, but it’s just about that time – it’s time for them to go." She said.
